============
Prodigy showed up at our door on July 4th, 1997 - during a thunderstorm, scared out of his mind. He left us July 3rd, 2008 - purring until he took his final breath. I will miss him for the rest of my days.
The Obama pictures are now up for your viewing pleasure. They’re not nearly as nice as I would’ve liked, but since I was up in the nosebleeds there wasn’t much I could do, you know? My zoom helped a tiny bit, but still please don’t expect my usual quality. ![]()
I went to see Sen. Barack Obama speak three weeks ago here in Ohio (and don’t talk to me about how THAT mess turned out. Have I mentioned lately that OH sucks?
). I took many pictures, and I keep meaning to stick some one the website - they’re actually still on my camera. Oops! *lazy* Will work on that and hopefully have them up today. ![]()
I’m also going to begin work on a photo project based on the city I’ll be escaping from soon, Toledo OH. I’ve lived here my entire life, and I thought it would be nice to share some of the interesting things (and maybe share some stories) before I move away.
Maybe after I move I’ll start one on Philly. “A N00B’s view of Philadelphia!” Oh boy…
That layout lasted three whole days - a record for shortest layout! I swear I really loved it when I originally made it. Then I put it online and suddenly hated it, thought it looked like utter crap. *sigh*
So in a couple of hours, I completely redid everything. I just caught one of those creative waves and for once it worked just like I wanted it to. I LOVE this layout, and I really mean it this time. ![]()
So I’m going to back away slowly from the HTML, and get some sleep before I decide to tackle another project and end up face down on my keyboard.
I was going to re-open two days ago, but then the temperature took a huge nose dive, and it too damn cold in my bedroom to even be in there for very long. Ugh.
It’s still freezing in here, but it’s warm enough to work on stuff, so the site is now live. Huzzah!
…now to start work on the Manson sub-site.
P.S. I’d love feedback on the new design, and if you encounter any errors, please let me know. I’d totally appreciate it and I’ll even bake you some cookies.
New website is DONE. Well, except for the Manson site, but that’s seperate so it doesn’t count. But YAY!!

I think I slept for two hours last night, so I’m not going to start uploading until I’ve had some more rest. The plan is to shut the websiite down Saturday night (late) and have it up and running Sunday morning. I doubt it’ll take that long, but I’m giving myself time for the screw ups I’ll surely find later. Heh.
I’m off to scrounge up some breakfast.
- fix the damn sidebar links on the blog page, as none of them work at all. - Done.
I suppose the upside of these constant screw-ups is that I’m actually finding them before the new layout goes live, right? But this screw up was so majorly dumb, I can’t believe I didn’t realise WHY the way I had it set up wouldn’t work. ![]()
I’m in the middle of figuring out how to do the new version of the photography section. It’s going pretty well, though not exactly like the image I had in my mind. Close enough. Once I figure out a basic template and get a single page’s worth of photos working properly, the rest will be finished quickly. Which is GREAT news because then the only thing I will have left to finish are a few stray pages and then I get to upload the website. ![]()
Oh, but what about the Manson section? Well, it IS a subdomain, and therefore qualifies as a seperate site….so I’m going to launch it seperately.
*ducks flying objects*
I swear! It’ll be soon! OW! Who threw that?! ![]()
Yes, call me lazy, I deserve it. My problem is that I’ve always taken on too many projects at once, and something always falls by the wayside. Good example is the Rasputina website. At least there I always said I wouldn’t update that constantly, but the length of time it’s been since I’ve even touched it is just awful. I was planning on opening my own blinkie community on Livejournal, but I’ve shoved that to the back burner until I can get caught up everywhere else. I have to make myself stop spreading myself too thin. I probably should’ve made that one of my New Year’s resolutions, but well…who has the time?
I am in migraine hell. So naturally I’m being smart and staying away from my computer, right? Riiiight? *BUZZ* WRONG! ![]()
I have a lot done on the website, but the few things that are left happen to be big sections, like the MM collection and the Photography section. Ugh. If I could just get rid of this stupid migraine, I might just have the drive to plow through a big portion of it today. I haven’t slept (unless you count a few hours on the couch last night) at all for a day or so, and it’s not going to happen until the demons stop stabbing my skull with their trusty spikes. Assholes.
I was supposed to go to the movies today so I could see P.S. I Love You before it leaves the theatre, but I don’t think that’s gonna happen either. Most of my friends that have seen it didn’t like it, but I’ll be honest here: I don’t CARE if it sucks. I just want to see Jeffrey Dean Morgan on a big screen, okay?! And not just because of his naked tushie, but that doesn’t hurt either.
I want to see Cloverfield as well this weekend, but I don’t see how I’d possibly have the time, so that’s going to have to wait until Monday. I remember when I’d go to the movies 3-4 times a month; now I’m lucky if I go that many times a year!! Crazy.
So UPS delivers my box from Disney on Monday. Hooray, right? WRONG.
#1 The Snow White Huntsman’s box lid is split in two.
#2 The Evil Queen shirt is the wrong color AND size.
This was me:

I’m just asking for a refund for the shirt, and I’m not sure what to do about the box. Did I mention they shipped this in a box four times the size of its contents with little padding?! I fear if I bother asking for a replacement it’ll just show up broken again. ![]()
What to do, what to do. I think I’m just getting a total refund, screw ‘em. They’d better refund the shipping fee I have to pay to send the stuff back! (yes, they suck so much they don’t even have a postage-paid return label). I mostly blame UPS for this, but the box size surely didn’t help things, so Disney’s partially at fault too.
This blows.
